Avion Group™, a Social Healthcare Agency, has been dispatching Triage Teams in their Mobile Medical Van since April 2020 to Arizona/Mexico border towns such as Nogales, Douglas, San Luis, Lukeville/Sonoyta, Sasabe, and Naco. "Our teams extend In-Home Care and case management services to migrants who reside in the U.S. but travel back and forth to border towns. We perform Rehabilitative In-Home Care and Case management services, such as healthcare coordination with advance medical planning that is related to their COVID-19 Diagnosis for UNINSURED Patients who tested positive at hospitals and clinics in the U.S., Mexico, or other countries, but live in the United States, says Avions' Executive Director. " Most of these migrants have NO Identification or Tax ID number. In addition, patients with possible complications were not admitted to hospitals as they should have been here in the U.S., to avoid unauthorized entry at the borders. Avion believes with a mobile triage and small home based-care intervention at these border towns during COVID-19, it can only minimize the spread.
